COMPANY BACKGROUND
Oberweis Dairy produces and distributes super premium milk and ice cream to six mid-western states, Virginia, and North Carolina through three distribution channels: home delivery, grocery stores, and a combination of company owned and franchised dairy stores. Oberweis Dairy has 42 company-owned stores and 1 franchise store located in Illinois. Home delivery has 71 routes servicing 30,000+ customers in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia, and North Carolina while the retail channel services 1,000 accounts located in all the states mentioned previously. Oberweis Dairy is a family owned company and headquartered in North Aurora, Illinois.
SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for building a direct sales force that will acquire new customers for our Home Delivery channel. This position will require strong leadership skills with preferably a sales background. This high-energy position will require the recruiting, training, and supporting of qualified sales representatives to obtain residential customers through door-to-door sales, events, and businesses (One Taste program).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership for building growth in the market(s) you are responsible for
- Build a team of Sales professionals that can deliver quality results
- Recruit Sales Representatives through our Talent Reef recruiting and on-boarding system, job fairs, ads, and other recruiting methods as established by the Company
- Properly and thoroughly train new sales employees the technical skills to execute their jobs effectively
- Provide leadership and support to all sales representatives so that they are motivated and inspired to drive customer acquisition
- Actively encourage a spirit of team-work, bringing a positive attitude and a “can-do" mind-set
- Be able to live and lead a “Customer First" mindset
- Work with Operations personnel to identify new markets for customer acquisition
- Manage P&L statements
- Set clear expectations for the team and hold people accountable to those expectations
- Must be able to communicate positive feedback, constructive feedback, and listen attentively to your employees
- Must be able to communicate, influence, and work with all departments within the Company
- Track event and One Taste performance by updating the Event Tracker and other documentation as required

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College degree preferred
- Two years of Sales and Management experience preferred
- The ability to lead and train teams of sales professionals
- Ability to communicate with external businesses, community leaders, and professionals to promote and sell our service
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- The ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- A clean driving record (MVR)
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be a floor salary position with potential to earn much more in commissions.
