Dear Oberweis Customers,

 Good news!  

I am happy to announce that effective October 1, we are reducing the prices on our half-gallon glass bottled milk by $0.10. No good company wants to see prices to its customers rising, so it’s a pleasure for all of us to be able to offer this price drop. Milk prices still remain at very high levels which may be long-term, but we have seen some relief from the astronomical prices we’ve suffered for the past year.  

A strengthening dollar and overall reduction in commodity costs have caused this modest relief in raw milk costs. While we anticipate a plateau at current levels for the foreseeable future, we hope to ultimately see further declines in our costs which will enable us to reduce our retail price again. Unfortunately, trying to predict the milk market is very difficult – particularly during the type of volatility we’ve seen over the past year.
